Commanding Officer Comments
We have a traditional ceremony happening on Feb 21 a "Change of Command".
I have been relocated commencing March 01 2007. This comes as a little surprise as I hoping to depart in June 2007 with our Corps being #1 in Ontario.
We have been doing extremely well in preparations for March Competition. I'm extremely confident to say that we have a strong chance to BE NUMBER ONE IN ALL OF ONTARIO through everyone's continued support, "KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK AND YOUR TOTAL COMMITTINMENT"
It gives me great pride to say that I have served in the Navy League of Canada for the past 10 years and it has given me tremendous new learned skills that I will carry through out my life time. In closing I would like to take this opportunity to Thank everyone for all the support and new friendship they all have given me.
One special Thanks goes to LCdr (NL) Phyllis Mulholland she has been serving the Navy League for over 30 years and has been my pillar of knowledge and support and has done the same for our Corps N.L.C.C. Enterprise.
I trust that our Corps will have no problem carrying forward with our changes 2007 NEW COMMANDING OFFICER SLt (NL) Margo Arnold along with this years Coxswain PO2 Akin Batuhan these two along with (when announced) a new Executive Officer will carry our ship forward in the best way possible for our continued future growth. I will miss everyone and I leave you with my

Commanding Officer Comments
Since the founding of N.L.C.C. Enterprise, each generation of officers, parents and cadets has embraced the challenges established by our predecessors: to contribute time, talent, energy, imagination, and the resources necessary to keep Enterprise a thriving corps. It is this commitment and generosity that has allowed our corps to grow into the strong and vital unit we are today.
N.L.C.C. Enterprise needs active participation if we are to continue to grow and thrive. Our success will depend on us. Whether you are a parent, officer, or cadet of the corps, many important opportunities exist for your support and I encourage your ideas and suggestions.
As the new Commanding Officer of N.L.C.C. Enterprise, entrusted to lead N.L.C.C. Enterprise into the future, I promise to do my very best to faithfully and honestly fulfill my duties and responsibilities.
Many have asked me what I will change. I have only two items on my agenda. N.L.C.C. Enterprise will strictly adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by the Navy League of Canada and N.L.C.C. Enterprise will be FUN. I have plenty of great ideas of my own but I have not been placed in my position to advance my own objectives. I need to hear from you. I have met with our Coxswain and Regulating Petty Officer for some initial suggestions from a cadet perspective of where we are and where we need to be. Officers met 05 March 2007. Please…let your voice be heard. It my desire to advance your directives without delay.
It is with great enthusiasm that I announce our new Executive Officer, SLT (NL) Russ Arnold. SLT (NL) Arnold joined N.L.C.C. Enterprise in 2005. He went through both the Navy League and Sea Cadet programs as a young person and has proven himself to be hard-working and consistent in his efforts to promote and advance the objectives of both our corps and the Navy League Cadets of Canada program. Please be sure to congratulate him on his appointment to this position. It is well deserved.

PROVINCIAL COMPETITION in Trenton ON
Commanding Officer Comments
The Jefferies Squadron Competition was held in Ajax on 24 Mar 07.
Enterprise #29 took 3rd place in the Seamanship event
Enterprise #29 took 2nd place in the First Aid event
Enterprise #29 took 1st place in the Semaphore event
Enterprise #29 took 1st place in the Drill without Arms event
And our very own LC Abela took the Drill Team Captain award.
Special thanks go out to all the cadets and officers that represented our corps at this competition. Your hard work and dedication has paid off. You represented Enterprise well!
I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge all of the support received from those cadets and officers that trained hard with you and did not participate in the competition. Without this support, winning would not have been possible. The support of parents and families through what seemed to be endless practices does not go unnoticed. Without you, we would not be where we are as a corps today. Thank-you!
Again, I must say how proud I am of you, and how honoured I am to be the Commanding Officer of Enterprise 29. You truly are… THE BEST.
Also on 24 Mar 2007 CI Glenn Reynar was busy writing exams - MID I and MID II. It doesn't come as a surprise that he received STRAIGHT A's. He comes to Enterprise with cadet training experience and it is with great enthusiasm I welcome him as an officer of our corps. Please take the time to congratulate him.
Officially joining our corps is CI Steve Reynar who has been instructing our First Aid team with little or no recognition. Welcome aboard!
Until next month…Smooth Sailing..

Commanding Officer Comments
Provincial Competitions were held in Trenton, ON on 21-22 April 2007. Once again, NLCC Enterprise 29 did exceedingly well.
We competed in the Drill without Arms and Semaphore events. We learned how hard work and dedication pays off. What a privilege and an honour it is to be ranked one of the best corps in the Province.
I'll take this opportunity to send a HUGE thank-you to all the cadets, officers, and families that represented our corps so well at this competition.
On 29 April 2007 we visited HMCS Halifax in Toronto Harbour. Thanks for a great day!
We are coming into our busiest season of the year. Please be sure to mark your calendars with events as they are announced.
Until next month…Smooth Sailing..
